Data Protection Policy

  1. General Notes and Obligatory Information

When you visit our website, data of various kinds, including personal data, are collected. We treat your personal data (defined according to Art. 4 (1) GDPR) confidentially and according to legal data-protection regulations. This data protection policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and how and for what purpose this collection is undertaken. This is offered to provide you convenient and secure access to our information and offers. Of course, we also pursue business interests via our web presence, through which we aim to strengthen both our image and sales. For reasons of fairness and transparency, we are pleased to inform you in detail below of our practices in accordance with the EU-GDPR (European General Data Protection Regulation):

Who is responsible for data collection?

Responsible for data collection through your visit to this website is the website operator, land-der-ideen.de/impressum.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected automatically by IT systems used when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, time of page view). This data is automatically collected as soon as you visit our website. Other data is collected when you provide it to us. This can be, for example, data you enter in a contact form.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure error-free presentation of the website. We explain further details in the following sections.

TLS encryption

This site uses TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests you send to us, the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser URL address-line. If TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Website analysis

We use web technologies that enable us to optimize the content of our website so that visitors can quickly find information they are looking for. For this purpose, anonymous visitor-analysis is carried out, which provides us with statistics on, for example, which topics are searched for or clicked on frequently and which topics are searched for or clicked on less frequently, or when visit times are busy and when they are less busy, via which pages our visitors reach us and which links on our pages are clicked on how often.

  1. Your Contact to Our Data Protection Officer

Please send any inquiries about data protection to e-mail: datenschutz@land-der-ideen.de

  2. Data Collection on Our Website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These serve to make our site more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the browser on your terminal device. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses.

A distinction is made between so-called "session cookies" and "persistent cookies." The former are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal device until they expire or are deleted. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser on your next visit and to apply the settings you previously made.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow them in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you are done with your browser session. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Session cookies, which are required to carry out the electronic communication process, are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free, optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. for the analysis of your browsing behavior) are stored, these are treated separately in this data-protection policy.

Server log files
The provider of our website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. The data in the log files include:

Referrer URL (the website you came from)
Browser type, browser version, and language
Operating system used and its interface
IP address (anonymized)
Time of the server request
Http status code - access status
The amount of data transferred
Storage time is seven (7) days

This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, which permits the processing of data for optimal presentation and security of the website based on our legitimate interest.

  1. Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected or is done so only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of data entered in the newsletter-registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data-processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the member area) shall remain unaffected.

CleverReach
This website uses CleverReach to send newsletters. The provider is CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany. CleverReach is a service with which the newsletter dispatch can be organized and analyzed. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving newsletters (e.g. e-mail address) is stored on CleverReach's servers in Germany or Ireland.

Our newsletters sent with CleverReach allow us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. Among other things, we can analyze how many recipients have opened the newsletter message and how often which link in the newsletter was clicked. With the help of so-called conversion tracking, an analysis may be made to determine whether a predefined action (e.g. purchase of a product on our website) has taken place after clicking on the link in the newsletter. For more information on data analysis by CleverReach newsletters, please visit: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/funktionen/reporting-und-tracking

This data-processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of the data-processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

If you do not want any analysis by CleverReach, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.

The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from the servers of CleverReach after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes shall remain unaffected.

For more details, please refer to the CleverReach privacy policy: cleverreach.com/de/datenschutz

Monotype Web Fonts

This site uses so-called web fonts for the uniform display of fonts, which are provided by Monotype, based in USA/Woburn (HQ) 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to the servers of fast.fonts.com (Monotype). The following data is transferred in the process:

IP address (anonymized)
Project identification number of the web font
URL of the licensed website linked to a customer number so that Fonts.com can identify the licensee and the licensed web fonts
URL of the previously visited page

Monotype stores the anonymized IP address and project identification number of the web font in encrypted log files containing such data for a period of 30 days to determine the monthly number of page views. After such determination and storage of the number of page views, the log files are deleted. Monotype is used in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest as defined in Art. 6 (1) f) of the GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used. For more information about Monotype, please visit monotype.com/legal/privacy-policy/web-font-tracking-privacy-policy

Matomo - Reach Measurement

This website uses the open source software Matomo for reach measurement. Matomo is configured so that no cookies are placed on the computer. Instead, we use so-called fingerprinting to analyze the behavior of our visitors for the purpose of optimizing our website. This is our legitimate interest as a website operator (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). The fingerprint captures the operating system, browser, device type (computer, laptop, phone), screen resolution, set language to understand the use and navigation on our pages. The IP address is directly anonymized during the collection. The above measures do not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of individual visitors. The storage period in our system is six (6) months.
You can also object to the range measurement by Matomo directly here:

You have the option to prevent actions you take here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and improving usability for you and other users.

When deactivated, an opt-out cookie will be placed in your browser that will prevent Matomo from storing usage data. If you delete your cookies, the Matomo opt-out cookie is also deleted. The opt-out must be reactivated when you again visit our site. Matomo adheres to the "do-not-track" feature of your browser.

  1. Videos

YouTube

On our website, we also show you content from the video platform YouTube. The operator of YouTube is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit one of our pages containing a YouTube video, a plug-in prevents an immediate connection to YouTube's servers. i.e. the so-called "iframes" for YouTube are blocked and provided with an automatic button. Only giving your consent by clicking on this button is the connection to YouTube enabled. The server is then informed of your IP address and which of our pages you have visited. YouTube sets cookies and works with advertising networks. You can find more about this here under "Cookies" and in YouTube's privacy policy (link below). The embedded video was additionally installed in extended data protection mode.

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

YouTube is only used with your consent by click (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

For more information on the handling of user data, please refer to YouTube's privacy policy at: google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

When you visit our Facebook page, Facebook collects, among other things, your IP address and other information that is present on your terminal device in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as the operator of our Facebook page, with statistical information about the use of our page. If you would like to avoid this, log out of Facebook or disable the stay-logged-in function and configure your browser so that cookies are not set or are deleted promptly. You can find more information about Facebook's use of cookies in their cookie policy. You can also influence the way Facebook uses your data to a small extent in the advertising settings as well as in the general settings.

We currently do not use any features on this site other than the basic ones. For the basic functions, you can find Facebook's privacy policy here. The data collected about you in this context is processed by Facebook Ltd. and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union in the process. What information Facebook receives and how it is used is described in general terms by Facebook in its data usage guidelines.
In what way Facebook uses data from visits to Facebook pages for its own purposes, to what extent activities on the Facebook page are assigned to individual users by Facebook, how long Facebook stores this data and whether data from a visit to the Facebook page is passed on to third parties, is not conclusively and clearly stated by Facebook and is not known to us.

If you wish to assert your right to information or objection, you are welcome to contact us regarding the business tools we use; if necessary, we will forward your request to Facebook, as we share responsibility for our Facebook page with Facebook according to the following agreement: facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum
