Md Reaid Alam is the founder and CEO of GreenEO based in Darmstadt, Germany. Prior to GreenEO, he was the geo-informatics engineer at e.Ray Europa and the Research Associate at the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany. During his tenure at e.Ray, Md Reaid helped the company as a technical lead for managing the European Space Agency (ESA) projects on climate services.
He was invited as a guest speaker at the world's largest organic trade fair BIOFACH 2022 Congress in a session titled “Rationalizing administration and controls through data, GIS, Satellite, Webapp”; he also presented “Innovative Organic Certification using Satellite” at the 5th Organic Asia Congress held in South Korea.
Md Reaid did his graduation in Photogrammetry and Geo-informatics from the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences, Germany. He has more than 8 years of experience to process and analyze optical satellite imagery, SAR satellite imagery, UAV imagery, and terrestrial and areal laser scanner data. Under his leadership, the Agrotrace team was the winner of the Climathon 2018 in Darmstadt, Germany for their innovative satellite-based traceability solution in organic farming. He published research papers at Living Planet Symposium and Applied Geo-informatics for Society and Environment conference in 2019.
