"Young leaders can be at the forefront of increasing the awareness of the threat of climate change and the need for interventions to mitigate and reduce its impact on society now and in the future. Additionally, young business leaders should take up the challenge of developing sustainable businesses, not “business as usual,” but rather employ technological solutions that do not negatively impact the climate."

Entrepreneurship development in African higher education institutions is an area of grave interest to Bismark Yeboah. Since 2020, he has been a research associate at the Competence Center for Small Enterprise Promotion and Training at Leipzig University, where he coordinates projects on entrepreneurship promotion, entrepreneurial education, and innovations. As the coordinator for the African German Entrepreneurship Academy (AGEA), he oversees the implementation of training and coaching for the early-stage development of business startups originating from academic and scientific research conducted by students, researchers, and lecturers in African universities. In addition, he researches the innovation of agricultural technology startups and agrifood enterprises in Africa. Agribusiness development, food, and resource management are among his areas of study, and he has a wealth of experience in project management and international development cooperation, among others. Before joining Leipzig University, he worked for six and a half years with the German Agency for International Development Cooperation (GIZ) in Ghana in various technical advisory functions on monitoring and evaluation, knowledge management, agricultural policy development, and gender. He is passionate about agritech, agribusiness, entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology for development in Africa.
