Niyonzima Jean Damascene is a proactive engineer with passion and dedication for renewable energies. He is a Service Engineer at Voith Hydro, part of the Voith HyService Team. His work is pivotal in extending the lifespan and maintaining the peak performance of hydropower plants globally. His expertise is not just technical; it’s also about fostering relationships and driving innovation. Niyonzima studied Energy Policy and Electrical Power Engineering at his Master and Bachelor studies repectively. He is also recognized as an Afrika Kommt fellowship alumni, a testament to his leadership and vision in fostering German-African business relations. This prestigious program has allowed him to expand his network and influence, driving diversity and innovation. He is also a founder and managing director of PowerHose, addressing energy challenges with clean, efficient technologies in Rwanda. As a young leader, Niyonzima has commitment to clean energy and sustainable development has positioned him as a catalyst for clean energy transition, not just in Africa, but globally.
